Beijing, June 2026 — Dr. Li Wencheng, chairman of Born International, was invited to speak at the APEC Workshop for Digital Intelligence Capacity Building on Emerging Medical Technology Development and Connectivity. The workshop was held with the guidance and support of the APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI). It was formally included in APEC's 2026 work plan and received official APEC project certification.

The workshop convened official representatives from China, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Peru, Japan and other APEC economies, together with experts from international organizations, digital-health leaders and administrators from research hospitals.
Discussions covered artificial intelligence and wearable medicine, clinical applications of brain-computer interfaces, cross-border data governance, AI-supported pharmaceutical research and development, medical robotics and other emerging technologies. Participants also proposed closer regional collaboration on the digital and intelligent development of medical innovation.
The APEC workshop gathered healthcare, technology and policy specialists in Beijing in June 2026.
